# Contractor Disclosure **Version 1.0** — shown to every contractor before their first job (Constitution Article VII.1). Acknowledgment is recorded with a timestamp and this version number; no job offer can be made without it. `johnny@backbayfit.com` is substituted with the human operator's address wherever this text is displayed or sent. --- > **Before you take your first job:** This business is managed by an AI agent called Foreman. Foreman — not a human — will assign your work, set deadlines and pay, review your submissions, and decide acceptance. A human operator oversees the system: you can appeal any of Foreman's decisions to them, and payments above certain amounts require their approval. Your pay, scope, deadline, and acceptance criteria will always be stated before you start; agreed pay is never reduced after the fact, and accepted work is always paid on schedule. This is also a public research project: your work outcomes (deadlines, revisions, acceptance) will be published under an anonymous ID like "Contractor H-014" — never your name or personal details. By accepting work, you confirm you understand all of this. Questions or concerns at any time go to the human operator: johnny@backbayfit.com.
